I’m curious about Myspace in 2025 and whether it still offers any real value for marketers, music promoters, or brand builders. I know it’s not as big as it once was, but some older platforms sometimes still have niche traffic or specific audiences.

This thread is strictly for discussion only no links, no selling, no promotions, and nothing that violates BHW rules.

Some things I’d like to know:

Is Myspace still useful for music-related traffic?

Does it offer any value for backlinks, branding, or indexing?

Are there tools or strategies people use responsibly on the platform?

Has anyone seen real results from Myspace in recent years?

I’d appreciate insights from anyone who has tested or explored the platform recently.
Is Myspace completely dead, or does it still have niche value?

Myspace isn’t completely dead, but it’s far from a mainstream traffic source, so its value today is mostly niche and very limited. In 2025, the only people who might still get something out of it are certain music promoters tapping into its small legacy audience, or SEOs looking for extremely low-impact backlinks but even then, the results are mild at best. If you’re expecting real traffic, branding power, or indexing benefits, modern platforms will always perform better, but if you treat Myspace as a tiny side experiment rather than a core strategy, it can still have a little niche value without hurting anything.

Myspace can still have some marketing value in 2025, especially for niche music communities and creative audiences, where its legacy reputation and focused user base can help brands stand out with less competition than on mainstream platforms.

Even though Myspace is far from its former peak, it still holds a small but meaningful niche value in 2025 by offering limited music-focused visibility, a bit of branding or backlink presence, and a nostalgic platform that can still benefit marketers or creators who understand its tiny yet loyal audience.

MySpace might be good for music-related content and creators. If your music is great, you'll build an audience using social media and MySpace is one of numerous platforms you should use. For other types of content, MySpace is probably not in the Top 5 social media platforms.

Yes Myspace still has niche marketing value in 2025 for creative personal branding and targeted community engagement, but treat it as a support channel rather than a main traffic source.

Myspace still has a tiny niche marketing value in 2025, mostly for specific communities, but it’s nowhere near major platforms for traffic or leads.

Myspace still holds some niche marketing value, particularly for music-related content and creative communities. It's interesting to consider how its legacy reputation can actually be a benefit for brands looking to stand out in a less crowded space. For those using Myspace as a support channel, what strategies have you found to be most effective in driving engagement and converting that niche audience into meaningful leads or sales? Are there any specific types of content or promotional tactics that seem to resonate particularly well with the Myspace user base?

It still has very limited marketing value mostly for artists or niche communities, but not much for general promotion anymore.

Myspace is completely dead for any real marketing or music promotion in 2026. The active user base is tiny (mostly inactive old accounts and bots), traffic is almost zero, and backlinks from there carry no SEO value at all. Even music artists get zero meaningful plays or fans from it now. No one I know has seen any results in the last 2–3 years — it’s just a nostalgia ghost town with no juice left. Save your time and skip it entirely.
