Does my portfolio need to have excellent projects in it?

It’s been 6 months of owning and managing 2 websites about liquors and Crm software. With all the respective social signals.
Will I be able to start a career in digital marketing possibly remote. I have all the necessary certificates(like 6 of them) and I need to see if I could be able to get it.
My worry is that those websites aren’t considered successful. The first one on CRM has 300 page views a month and the second one on liquors has about 500 a month. Also I’ve managed to get thousands of views on a YT channel. And that’s pretty much it.
I’ve also run mock campaigns on both the websites with like 20 bucks
Would you say I can get a job or not? Note: I am not a us citizen and I am 18.

Your experience is definitely a good start, especially since you’ve managed websites, driven traffic, and even run campaigns. While your sites aren’t huge yet, they still show hands-on experience, which many entry-level jobs value. Since you’re 18 and not a US citizen, remote roles or freelance gigs might be the best way to break in. Keep applying, showcase your skills, and maybe work on small projects to strengthen your portfolio. You got this!

We are talking 2 completely different things here which often people get confused with.
1) organic traffic - seo, social media
2) paid traffic - ppc, social media ads, native ads - this is digital marketing
Do you have any experience in running ads with +tive roi? That's digital marketing.
 
No one's looking for excellent projects from an 18 year old. My suggestion would be to join as an intern and show your skills and ability to work in a team and it may turn into a full time employment.
 
Short answer is not really.
Long answer is no one's gonna reasonably expect a stacked portfolio from someone relatively green. What matters more is showing potential and aptitude. You have some experience under your belt so leverage that as a selling point and highlight your ability to learn, adapt, and think creatively. Solid portfolios are usually down to how you present it and the progress you make and I'd say you can pull that off with what you got.

Yes I have experience in both. I also have done some copywriting and things like that for freelance. I will be looking at jobs after I graduate high school(3 months from now) I already have a solid LinkedIn and all the certs

You need to have some guest posts, press release, and monthly off-page seo. It will bring thousands of traffic in 1-2 months and you will be able to monetize it.

I’ve tried that but the guest posts aren’t getting responses, I don’t know what press release and monthly off page seo means. well of course I have an idea of those but I don’t know if that is the same thing you intended

monthly off-page seo is for continuous traffic, it brings continuous traffic to sites through various sources, which ranks website and increase visibility.

Press release is the guest post on news websites on trending content which is used for instant traffic, like which topic is in trend on news through press release your site will be link into the trendy content of news websites.

and may i know which niche of guest posts you had used?

Ok so it was exactly what I thought it was. The first one I already do, in fact almost all my traffic comes from social media signals. News articles, well I honestly tried at first but they didn’t accept it. I did guest post only on other niche websites on the same niche(CRM)

What basically you need is:

1. Press release
2. Monthly off-page seo.

This gives best results to me and my closed ones.

You’ve already done a lot. Two websites, real traffic, and ad tests, that’s great. Most beginners don’t even start.
Your YouTube views also count. Even if your sites are small, they show you understand the basics. Apply for entry-level or freelance jobs. Someone will see your potential.
