Does my ISP need to be hidden when using a proxy for YouTube?

If your ISP is still showing while using a proxy, it might not be fully hiding your connection. This could affect logging into aged YouTube accounts. Try checking on other IP lookup sites or test a different proxy to be sure.

That means your IP is leaking and it's definitely not a good sign. I'd suggest using an anti detect browser to properly configure the IP and make sure the IP is from a reputable seller

That’s actually pretty normal with static residential proxies. A lot of IP check sites still show the ISP that owns the IP range, even if you’re using a proxy.
For most platforms it’s usually not a big deal. What matters more is that the IP looks residential and the location stays consistent.
A lot of people also run accounts inside separate antidetect browser profiles so the fingerprint, timezone, and other settings match the proxy. As long as the environment looks consistent overall, it’s usually fine.

It is normal if you check your IP on whatismyip.com or any other IP checking website to show the actual address of the ISP. In the end that's the purpose of using a proxy IP to change your location, you should be only be worried of the IP has a bad score. For YouTube accounts you should also take into consideration your behavior in order not to get detected.
