Does more views on a video increase click-through rates?

Do you think psychologically speaking if a video shows 20k on the view counter vs 1k, would you likely click through the video more often? I wonder if purchasing 20k non-drop views would make a video look better so more ppl click through it. Obviously aside from thumbnail/title do you think more views on the counter = higher CTR?

psychology speaking = yes

when I search for wRastling videos, I tend to look at the videos that have high count rate.
 
For me thats not the issue, the main issue is how does this affect analytics and will Youtube punish the ranking on my videos or future videos because of this. Will Youtube not recommend videos and suggested videos?
 
Clearly yes,because it shows that the idea is popular,thus relevant and maybe intelligent.. And I'm 100% sure everybody thinks the same way.
 
social proof always have psychological edge, it will always be.
 
Absolutely. Social proof is huge. Thats why everg ecom website has it.

depending on the topic, I only sort by most views or most recent. Can’t do much about the latter tho

yes but if you have CTR 1.2% with 1000 views and 1.2% with 20k views os there any difference? Yes the number butyou didint improved
 
It will help for sure but one thing you have to keep in mind is views that are sent via a bot won't increase the number of IMPRESSIONS generated significantly from Youtube's algorithm. So unless you know for a fact that enough people will click-through that video to boost 5% CTR to 10%, then yes these views will indeed help. But I've never really made a video blow up from botting views because I always bot them on videos that have less subscriber interest.

You have to also be careful because you don't want to buy low retention or it will mess up your overall retention.
 
The issue with SMM views is that no one can provide high retention views. I struggle to find one with more than 1 minute retention.
Views with 1 minute retention would completely destroy your video.

CTR is irrelevant at this point.
Also people here focus so much on CTR but forget the basics which is high retention.

You can have super high CTR but if the retention is low then you're just destroying your videos.
I would much rather have low CTR and high retention over high ctr and low retention.
 
20k vs 1k sure will click 20k viewed
purchased 20 k view is not similar to organic view since the retention is very low
views have least impact since thumbnail plays major role
Video retention is most important factor even if ppl click 20k view video and left after 40 sec yt consider it as bad for audience, reduce the impressions
 
Lots of B.S reply. SUBCONSCIOUSLY, people will only look at the Title OR the Thumbnail. If they like it, they click it, if not they scrolling down. No regular user, which are majority like >90%, browsing Youtube looking at video view count first.

The ones who look at the stats are people who doing research. Even this kind of people will not look at the stat when they are just browsing not doing research. SUBCONSCIOUSLY is the key point.
 
Yes probably. When you buy views from API smm panel than they will refer the video on the suggested section.
Than people will see your video and will click on your video.
In this way your CTR can be increase.

Actually, you can see it the other way round. The higher your cliick through rate, the more views you get. I focus on my thumbnail improvement
