in my opinion up to 600 words will good for home pages, and for blogs ok with 300+ more contents = ASAP RANK

People keep talking about LONG articles. I have no idea if this helps, but it certainly depends on the niche. I rank sites in ecommerce niches and obviously most top ecommerce sites have NO articles on the homepage. They have a bunch of items and categories...

large articles make a BIG difference. Todays standard is 1000 words per article if you are serious about ranking. You should not go bellow 500

Usually I struggle to reach that 1000 words article but to be honest i never publish anything below 1k words on my sites

According to my experience content length does effect rankings and a lot, btw there is many other factors

Bigger content is not only an important thing and also it should be unique.And it should contain minimum 500 words.

If you write a long articles then you are using more keywords. More keywords more traffic better SEO

In my case i have a big images website, if i put an 1000 word unique written article on it and target longtail keywords, would than also the images on my website rank if the article is good enough to rank ?

Quality of the content is very important and also your content should be unique. Since Google always want to give different content to searchers.

Minimum should be 500 words with great content nut just matter. If you had written some important things in the article then it will be enough to rank better. I am getting some decent amount of traffic to some of my articles that are less than 500 words.

Dumber question: Better to write 2 blog entries a day on different concepts/ideas or one large blog entry? Could I take the smaller article and break them in a series of part 1 through 5? Is it better to be considered a source of constant good info or a source in few areas that are long but not speed updated?
