I have migrated my website 4 months ago into a new domain in October exactly, after one month of migration my traffic came back to its normal level but it is not increasing, I have added content that is well-optimized and well-researched and it is supposed to rank, I was done adding it by November so by my calculations it should rank in December or January at most...

But it is not ranking, not a single article has ranked in the top 10 so what is wrong with that? Google says the change of address tool takes 6 months to complete the request so should I wait to see what is going to happen in April or am I wasting precious time?

Thanks in advance.

How many backlinks does your site have?

Usually, it takes several months to rank new content that targets semi-competitive to competitive kw targets

Unless you're targeting long tail kws with little competition or you're building lots of links or you already have a TON of domain authority, you should continue to create content

It also helps if you already have a lot of content posted

Even if that new content is on migrated site, not a totally new one?

I am targeting very low competition keywords so what my theory is that my new content is sandboxed by Google
until the change of address process is completed.

should I be building links or adding content during that period?

Keep adding content. How many total posts do you already have?

What is the domain authority of the migrated site pre-migration?

What is the domain authority of the migrated site pre-migration?

I have 138 posts in total, 18 of them post-migration.

the DA was 9 pre-migration

Add some informative articles and give internal links to your money pages. Build quality links to informative posts along with money pages and wait for at least 2 -3 months to see results.

it would take a while before the link juice would be completely transferred to the new domain. Sometimes, weeks into the migration the new domain starts losing some positions. Luckily for you, didn't happen.

So, give it sometime.

Migrating the domain has a more chance of loosing traffic. Good news is that the site was able to gain in few months. Try creating new backlinks to the new domain.
