Does migrating server affect ranking?

It depends, if the new server is from the same country there wont be any changes. Nxt if the loading speed is slow in the new server then the old one surely google will drop the site ranking

If you did everything correctly - moved website, made MYSQL, changed all data and then just changes NS records you should not have even a small drop or change even if the location changed.

I'm such an idiot, I should have done this sooner. I don't know why I dismissed this, I have been discouraging the site from search engine index all this time(wordpress set to this I guess). idk if all my link building will go to waste but it seems so I feel so frustrated. thank you my man.

no it won't if your server is better at loading your website, it will definitely improve your rankings

It will affect the server ranking when some factors like uptime, the location changed.
