I tested this—changed my display name in WABA three times during setup. After the 4th change, messaging stopped with no explanation.


Support confirmed: frequent name changes trigger auto-review.
Now I pick one and leave it.
Has anyone else triggered this ?How many times did you manage before hitting a block?

I have never changed my name there. But from my experience, those pages usually allow you to change your name a maximum of 3 times, or there will be a waiting period before you can change your name.

Yes, because Meta monitors all those things. There's no specific rules set in stone but accounts getting flagged for stupid reasons is a pretty common problem.
 
If you are using an API software to make the edit, the account may possibly get flagged. However, that depends on frequently you are making the changes. Most agencies allow for a 48 period between each name change, even if its across 500+ accounts.

yes that is possible. what you have to do is leave it as it is and wait for week or two. and api will works fine.

Yeah, same here. I hit the limit after 3 changes—messaging paused right after. Now I just stick to one name.

Meta will “flag” if you change your display name continuously via API.

Risk: losing messaging functionality, being reviewed and forced to wait 60 days before changing again.

Safe solution:

Decide on a name early.

If you need to change, only change it a maximum of 3 times, waiting at least 48–72 hours after each change

Of course every change will be picked up by meta. nothing can get past them.
 
Changing WABA repeatedly can lead to inconsistencies in user experience, reduce brand credibility, and make communications difficult to manage.
