Medium is a useful website and its also good for increasing the traffic but not good for affiliate links

Writing on medium will increase the traffic of your website or blog.
This will also help search engines. Where they can easily find your work.
But, there links are nofollow, so they don't have much SEO value.

Read medium terms regarding posting of affiliate links.
I do work with Medium posting more than 100+ articles for years.
Don't know what mistake I did, then just ban my account and all the articles were gone.
