Does keyword2k-domains still work?

A while ago, there was a lot of talk regarding domains ending with 2k. Many people said that they were the next best things to keyword.com/net/org-domains, even better than info.

Is this still the case you think?

Extrawinner wrote that the keyword2k domain was favoured by Google but his post is dated 2010. Would be very interesting to know your thoughts.
