Does keyword order matter in a domain name?

I would appreciate your thoughts on keyword order in a domain name and how it might affect ranking in the search engines. I have come across a search term in senuke that is showing Extremely Easy with almost 100K searches per month but with only 300 competition.

For instance, I am looking at a search term which has a two word person's name (John Wayne) and a domain (blackhatworld) which according to senuke is being separated into (blackhat world). (these are example search terms only)

So the search term is
John Wayne blackhat world

JohnWayneBlackhatworld.com is not available but
John-Wayne-Blackhat-World.com is available.
(could any legal issues come up with the person's name and/or the blackhat world domain name being in the new domain name?)

Would Worldjohnblackhatwayne.com or world-john-blackhat-wayne.com be just as good as the domains with the search term in order?

I would appreciate your thoughts on this!

i have tested the hell out of this type of optimization and you must keep the keywords in the exact order. Well, you don't have to but you wont rank as easy...

My results where pretty much the same

Somewhat it matters mate.

if you have a domain with the keyword and you get links is gold, John-Wayne-Blackhat-World.com is available I wonder why nobody bought it already

So, you aren't really changing the order, you are just adding hyphens between the words. It is probably the next best choice since your #1 is taken. Try it out...what's $10 on a domain name?

Forgot to add...of course there COULD be legal problems with using someones's name...it's called copyright infringement.

It matters very much if you're trying to rank for broad, phrase or exact match.

No point registering something that is different to your keyword.

I would use .net and .org before using a hyphen in my keyword for a .com Better to have yourkeyword.net than your-keyword.com but overall it's nothing significant unless you consider all things being equal for the two.

My ranking is

keyword.com
keyword.net
keyword.org
key-word.com
keywordsuffix.com
prefixkeyword.com

and i would never consider for a moment jumbling up the order my keyword is in just for a .com, stupid and a waste of time.
