Does karma still affect account visibility?

I’ve heard that low-karma accounts get less reach or automatically hidden. Is that still true in 2025, or has Reddit stopped factoring karma into post visibility?

As I can see it works now. It is not good because from time to time some accounts are attacked.

I think it depends on the subreddit, some mods have strict filters that hide posts from low-karma users.

Yes, karma still matters a bit. Low-karma accounts don’t get full reach at first. Once you build some history and normal activity, visibility improves. It’s not everything, but it helps.

Of course, it's always better to have an account with higher karma, aged, with a complete profile than the reverse.

yes, of course! karma is very important for visibility of comments, votes. but it depends on subreddits.. few subs are open for all types of users but most of subs are restricted and allow only high karma for discussion
