Does it work well for changing others videos?

Hi guys,
The weekend is coming, hope you guys have a great weekend first. Recently, we had a viral video on TikTok with more than 2.2M views.
But honestly, we only got 200 followers this time. It's weird. I mean, I got around 5,000 followers before June with one viral video.
But now, what happened?
I always downloaded others videos from other platforms and edited them, uploaded them on TK.
It seems like TK would not give more followers for the edited content, right?

It's not like Tik-Tok decides to give you followers, if people want to see more of your content they follow , i dont think there's a secret formula.
