Does it matter much what I call my article section? (url, link anchor, etc)

I have a section on my site where I write articles with titles like:

"10 reasons why you should start excercising today"
"How to pick a diet and stick with it"
"Selecting the best gym in your area"

I need to decide what to call these articles so it;s part of the url and the menu.

    On option is:
    Menu: [Home][Articles][Shop][Contact]
    URL: http://www.mysite.com/articles/

    Another:
    Menu: [Home][Tips][Shop][Contact]
    URL: http://www.mysite.com/tips/

My question is: Does it make a difference to google what I call this section of the site, articles VS tips. ?

    Thanks

It doesn't make any difference to Google or your website's visitors as long as you use a descriptive word in the menu. I prefer "blog" though.
