I didn't think about this earlier but If I am link building for a local business in a different country. Does it matter? Shall I create a different profile with that country's proxy for link building?

Your physical location does not matter, nor will proxy location matter in 99% of platforms that people use for link building. The only times I've seen proxy location matter is for big platforms like Google, Meta properties etc.

If you're blasting tier 1s manually, yeah, better keep the geo consistent—local IPs, local TLDs, local language footprints if possible. For GMB-heavy niches it matters more.

For local SEO, using local sites and signals helps, but for general link building, your location or proxy usually doesn’t matter.

That doesn’t matter. What does matter is the country of the websites where you’re placing the backlinks.

No.. your location does not matter. The link that get's placed has not idea where you are. You location is irrelevant. Now.. that's a different story when it comes to CTR/engagement.

No. Your location does not matter but the links you get from - for your website.

That’s a smart thing to consider, actually. For local SEO, yes, gegraphy matters m ore than people think.
Using a profile with that Country’s proxy can help make your outreach or guest post submissions feel more “native.”

No, it does not strictly matter you are link building from, as long as the links are relevant, high-quality and from trusted sources. However, for local SEO getting links from locally relevant sites can give an extra boost.

Yes, the source of your backlinks matters. High-quality, relevant, and authoritative websites provide better SEO value than low-quality or unrelated sources.

When you’re doing link building, it usually doesn’t matter where you are physically located. Where you’re placing links "websites in the same country or niche carry more weight" dose matter. Google doesn’t care where you are sitting.
Google cares where the website giving the backlink is based and who its audience is.

Yes, it can matter. Google tends to value links that feel natural and relevant, so links coming from the same country as the business can be more effective. Using a local proxy isn’t strictly required, but having some local presence in link outreach or profiles can help with relevance and trust. Focus on quality and relevance over just location.

No need for a proxy. What matters is getting backlinks from sites relevant to that country, not where you build them from.

local IP + geo-matched profiles raise trust, esp if ur dropping links on regional forums or dirs. running US proxy for UK biz leaves footprints. build w proxies in target country, keep NAP consistent, drip links natural so they blend.

It’s doesn’t really matter where you are building links from, the main thing is the relevant of the niche and location. for local seo, try to get links from sites in that country. no proxy is needed just to build links. keep the peace profiles natural and consistent.

So, if the local business is in Singapore, it doesn't matter if you, the person who's building the links, or the computer, is stationed in Singapore.

However, it will matter if the website that is linking to that business is from Singapore, and has the Singapore TLD.

The more local TLD's you can get in a sensible way, the better will it be in the long run.
