Hello,

I need to manage an account and I need to hit the US audience for explore/reels etc. Is it worth using a US based proxy?

Will managing the account from a country outside US without a US proxy affect the audience that I try to reach by posting stories, posts and reels?

Thanks and good luck ! :)

Post of stories and reels are to your location or followers/following,the feed from your location is what will be shared if not mock location.
Thanks for your reply, but I don't understand what do you mean by "the feed from your location is what will be shared if not mock location".

Could you please elaborate? I would really appreciate :)

Considering how IG works nowadays, organically speaking you're gonna reach almost noone by just posting so do not worry about location and focus on local hashtags, appealing content, maybe some manual follow/unfollow or mother/child.

If need to hit the US audience for explore/reels , you should definitely go for us proxies , as it would help you reach more US based audiences .
and one more thing while posting put location , that would also help you reach more specific audience ,

It doesnt necessarily affect affect your target audience, instagram is based in your location since you can grow using hastags or by following people in that area to help other find you within the same area you want to target, you should be able to select the region you want to target with your advertisement as well.

No, actually the Instagram location is not too important

Location does not matter so much because Instagram mostly shows you relevant posts measured by hashtags and profiles you follow/like the most.
