Hello, question in title.

Im new to this but it has been my experience that Instagram will limit the amount of cold DMs to non-followers I can send from the same IP address over multiple devices.

The reason I'm saying this:
Account A (aged, personal account) - I'm sending 50dms per day for over 3 weeks now.
Account B (aged, bought online, trying to warm it up) - I can send 2-3 cold DMs a day but when I hit my limit on Account A, Account B cannot send anything anymore.

Do I get this right? Anyone in the same situation?

And also, how can I work around that if true?

Not directly, but if IG notices that several accounts are behaving abnormally (sending a lot of DMs) under the same IP, you risk getting them all banned at once.

It's always wise not to use many accounts on the same IP.

You can get proxies, use 1 account per proxy, and keep your main account on your home IP.

Also, don't send the same DM text across multiple accounts, create variations of it.

Or use a social media automation tool and choose one that supports Spintext, if you don't know what that is, just google it.

I appreciate your input.

I have a "same" DM but yes I use spintax so at the end of the day it's 200 variations of the same DM. I think it should be okay. I'm trying to make sure I understand how to warm up an account before I buy proxies and scale everything.

Any idea why my account B gets restricted after 3 messages? It's a bought account created 10 years ago with no activity besides me using it to post content and DM strangers since the beginning of the month. Yet I can't seem to be able to send more than 2-3 cold DMs a day.

I'm afraid it's because the account was created in Thailand, I'm currently testing with an account created in the US with a VPN located there to see if that makes a difference.

Instagram puts a limit on how many Dms an account can send per day. It often doesn’t always look at the IP even if it rotates.
