Hi,

Does anybody know if one gets banned for posting the same URL in large number (many thousands) of Private Messages?

Best,

MN

No as far as I am aware they may only ban you if you use the same URL in your bio

Ok, if I may ask: Have you tried to send, say 25K messages or more, with same URL?

not sure but doing stuff like that will get you blacklisted

That will definitely get you blacklisted. Instagram already blocks you by sending more or less 5 similar comments to different accounts within a short span of time. You'll certainly get served with what you have just said.

Nobody needs to be a genius to know that you can't send 25k messages with the same link...

Yes, that's what I thought, just had conflicting info. Was thinking that perhaps IG would not do analysis of PMs for privacy reasons (haha)...

Anyways, what is the best practice then for posting a (very) large number of PMs without getting the URL flagged/banned?

Messages will be posted from many different IG accounts.

Of course I could use a URL shortener, just concerned it will decrease conversion, it looks spammy...

What about posting "mydomain.com/xyz" where xyz is a more or less random number, generated by spintax ... will that do the trick - or will the domain "mydomain.com" in itself trigger a ban?

Any experience with this?

Best,

MN
