Hey there,
today i recived 7 clicks to my shopify store almost in the same minute, im wondering if shopify sends bots (or workers?) to check page.
Cheers

Yes, Instagram does it. Still, It does not have any connection with shopify, it will send bots no matter which website you add in the bio.

That's crawlers bots. Yes, they verify the quality of link you added there. Also, they "count" if that link it's used in multiple IG accounts.

They will definitely make HTTP requests of the URL and follow an y 301 / 302 redirects.

I am not sure if they will be processing meta / js refreshes, so you might be able to get around it using those.

refreshes wont "help"

refreshes wont "help"
you have tested this? I doubt they would send a full browser to check on the links, but they could.

Should be easy to test.

Add a link that has never been posted anywhere so you can be sure it is not spidered

Have that page log IPs, and include a refresh to another page that is not spidered

Log all requests to this page.

If page (1) gets hit and (2) not, then your refreshes are safe. If (2) gets hit as well, then not.

just put link-tree there and you will be fine, they dont do 2 steps

Yes they use bots to check the links

Yes, they do.
Here is a snipet after i put url in bio.
i have cloudflare, so facebook crawlers, use ipv6. if you don't have ipv6, it would show they're ipv4.

They do. Same goes for facebook and messenger, from my personal experience.
