Does IG can read your IMEI or Device ID through Chrome app (Not IG app)

Hey guys,

I am wondering if Instagram can actually find out your IMEI and Device ID if you sign from Chrome and not Instagram App.

When they blocked my phone I was able to sign with chrome so I was thinking maybe they can't find out?

for browsers, instagram generates a machine id. if you use incognito mode on browser, in every close / open action it will give you a different machine id. if you use regular non-incognito mode, it will generate the machine id only once.

app and browser version are using totally different algorithms for creating machine ids.

Thank you sir for your detailed response, so basically if I use incognito, Instagram won't detect me, am I right?
