Does it make a difference when link building if you have links pointing to https instead of just http?

does anyone know anything about this?

you need to invest in ssl to get an https , if you are having an ecome site then https is a good option as it is more secure and also customer feel safe with https (at least for me ) , if your site is https then build the back links with https

It slows down your site's performance. It's ok to use the S for folders and pages needing high security such as login screens, shopping carts, but has no advantage for regular pages imho.

I run an ecommerce site thats all https when I'm logged into the back end (which I am 90% of the time), although my customers see just http until they hit the cart. I frequently post links accidently to the https version of the page and see the same kind of movement in the serps as I would have if I'd posted the http version.

So - in my case, it don't matter, only the http version shows up in the serps.

I don't actually have a https site but I have pages built on another site which are all https and I wasn't sure if I should build backlinks to https or take the s off. So I should point backlinks to https if the site uses it?
