You have to pick either monthly or yearly plan... theres a hosting service thats advertise on bhw ive seen before http://www.blueangelhost.com/ haven't tried it but seems pretty good

Hostgator is fine.
I've had them for the past couple of years. Haven't had any issues with them and they have been available to help when I needed them.
Bluehost, if that's that offshore hosting, tried it and it didn't go too well.
As far as the prices for hostgator goes, I believe that if you go for the lump sum, they'll give you a discount, so it adds up to that cheaper price per month.

Yes they charge for all eternity then give you monthly discounts as you go. If you stay with them for 200 years it becomes free.

I'm wondering though, I want to purchase a Baby or maybe a Hatchling plan.
Right now I'm looking at a Baby plan for $9.96 a month with a coupon code. The final price is $94.64. Do I have to pay all this at once, like right now? Cuz I can't afford that. I thought they would charge me $9.96 for this month and then $9.96 for next month, not charge me for the 6 months all together?
Please help I'm so confused.

Im no technical, but i dont use the addons. I uncheck them, just like what snort said..

I don't use it and I'm sure the majority of others don't.
You're just starting, you can get away with the most basic of everything and keep pushing that for a nice while.

You're doing something wrong. All hostgator plans have a monthly option, you're somehow choosing an option that is yearly. Go back and clear your shopping cart and restart.
