Does host affect SEO?

The question I've had is very simple... Does host providers affect SEO?

For example; If I'm currently with godaddy and some of my content is ranking quite well, if I move to some other provider, perhaps a less reputable one or an off-shore host, will it affect my current rankings and future rankings?

It might sound like a stupid question, but someone told me this is a thing.

If you use Cloudflare and your site architecture is decent assuming is a normal blog with content, you are just fine.

IP reputation is a thing yes, but its not really a big thing. But if you change to a shitty provider and website suddenly is lots more slow to respond, then yes it quite well could affect rankings in a negative way.

!00% it will effect on your SEo rangking. Also if you use shared hosting be carefull before take a server. Also low rate or CPU storage make your website slow and its directly effect on core web vitals. The result is you loss your web rangking.

Sure it can impact your ranking / seo. If you are happy with how things are (ranking wise) stay where you are, otherwise you may mess things up.

Do you know of any reputable off-shore hosts which wouldn't impact my SEO that much?

If you're on a shared server, yes
Dedicated WordPress hosting isn't cheap for the most part

Some say it does, some say it does not. Personally i think IP location does not matter as you can have a foreign language blog on say a US server and still rank.

It might be used in the sense of identifying PBNs / footprints (and 3rd party SEO tools do use it). Cloudflare is very popular and masks your real hosting, so that's an option.

So if I use a off-shore hosting platform and use cloudflare, it will not affect my SEO?

I'm not talking about speed/reliability or any other types of differences, I'm talking about reputation.

If two web hosts are identical in their service, how big of an impact would it have when it comes to their reputation? Especially moving from godaddy to some offshore hosting platform.
