Does hiding address affect map ranking?

I am ranking high for Google Maps right now - address is currently unhidden/visible. I am wondering if i hide my address on Google Maps/Google My Busiess page will any kw ranking drop (if nothing else is changed on my listing/website)?

It won't necessarily affect your KW ranking, but your listing on Google Maps will disappear

Google rule - More preference given to website having address.
It means it is mandatory that a website always go with the address.
So, don't hide the business location address, follow the giant search engine rules to grow business.

I'm not exactly sure why you would even consider removing your address.

There are lots of home-based businesses that don't want people showing up a their door randomly, but still serve a local area and need a listing in the local pack. I expect there's many in IM/SEO who fall into that same category.
