Do you think that having many web 2.0 backlink will help rank? I read recently some people say they are not useful anymore.

They’re manly used for link diversity, not much power to rank

Maybe they could give your site a push if the keywords have no competition at all. If you want to rank for anything decent, they won’t move the needle.

This is nonsense some people post... basically "they've heard it somewhere" and then spread that BS.
I've seen websites ranking (and I mean stable rankings) with only web2 links.

They are not powerful as they were before.

Anyway, with the right Web 2.0 and not some spammy spun content crap, they can still help a lot...
