Pretty self-explanatory. I just created a video and I left the comments closed, meaning that no one can leave comments. Does that affect the rankings at all in Google or YouTube?

Thanks in advance!

How can that affect rankings? Comments just give additional content which can benefit the rankings but it doesn't somehow penalize video if you disabled them.

yes the fake views or with low retention and fake likes will affect your videos

No you should leave the comments open the more users will make impression on your video the more it would become famous.

I think it affect onpage SEO. Without fresh comments (content), it will hard to compete with videos having shitload of fresh comments. IMO

Thanks for the answers. It still isn't ranking even with a bunch of high PR links and bookmarks pointing towards the site. I'm thinking I may try to open the comments and see if that does anything.

How long has it been up? It might still be too soon.

It's been up since July 13, has around 30k views, and around 100 likes. Tons of high PR links, SENuke blast, and bookmarking and it isn't even in the top 200.
