If you paid for an article and it still has fixes to be done, then change of writer.

Yes Grammarly detect errors properly, I use Grammarly in my everyday life without any hesitation.
 
It's good. But I find it makes vocabulary mistakes sometimes. Grammar wise it's pretty solid. As a previous poster said, if you have to put your articles through it after receiving them, you should change writers.
