Does googlebot read & follow links inside xml files?

Hi,
I have a wordpress blog, and i have seen that googlebot used to crawl XML feeds... mean homepage/feed/ and page-url/feed/
however the page-url/feed/ links can only be seen (i guess) in the master feed homepage/feed/

However in XML files, the links tag is different. It is enclosed in a <link> tag. Do you think googlebot reads and follow those links in xml files?

Google requires XML sitemaps and crawls those so I'm assuming they can crawl other XML files as well. Perhaps you can find more info here,

Yes, 100%. Almost all sitemaps are XML files these days, and I believe RSS feeds are XML too. Google loves RSS feeds.
