Does Google Voice work to phone verify twitter accounts? If not what is the easiest/best way to phone verify twitter accounts?

It definitely does! I have used that way twice now to create two Python Twitter bots I am using! Let me know if you have any other questions.

They definitely work. You simply need to go to your Gmail settings and make sure you can receive sms as email, or something like that. Once that's done you're good. For some reason, without having that setting on, you can send and receive texts to send from phone numbers, but not from web sites for verification.

I believe this is a relatively new setting modification in Gmail. But I just used my Voice numbers today for several different accounts. It's gold.

Out of 5 GV accounts, only 2 of them worked for twitter.

I had better success rates when I used text apps from the app store.

Nope Google should support twitter phone verifications without any problem. . all GV supports to create twitter accounts. if u need GV see my signature and shoot me . . .

In my experience, it depends on your Google Voice number prefix. Don't go with weird ones

This was working great for me only for around 2 weeks. And now the numbers don't work

I still receive the text codes in my GV but when I enter them in twitter they always fail.
