Does google take into account location.hash?

Hi guys,

I'm trying to rank a predominantly image based site. So far i'm doing ok - front page. However, the SEO is not exactly perfect. The site loads the home page with a slider (Slick JQuery slider) and slides through images. From an SEO perspective, i'm not 100% sure if google will index everything. As the slider changes, so do various elements on the page - meta tags, OG/twitter cards, facebook comment plugin reloading, etc.

What i'm trying to ask is, would it be more beneficial to put a location.hash when the slider changes? would that help with SEO at all? ie. #image2, #image3, etc.

nb. that the individual images, when clicked on, do open up a new page with the larger image and comment plugin in the form of /images/something/ID, but nobody ever looks at anything other than the homepage usually.

Thanks
