does google sees this as duplicate content?

Let's say i have a category X and a category called trending where it shows all the articles from other categories based in the amount of views they get, does google sees it as duplicate content? any advice is appreciated.

I have many sites with the same content. Google ranks some of them very well, some don't.

In the beginning of your have copied content then Google will index your pages only for some weeks and they will get deindexed later.

Well if you work on your page's authority, in terms of TF or PA metrics, even though if it is copied or duplicate content, those pages will still rank, as Google may perceive your site as more genuine due to higher metrics as compared to the original site. Build some links and have some social media signals would definitely help your site.
