Does Google really hate blogs?

truth is that they hate blogs. Their last update goal was to kill blogging. They only prioritize websites that aim to sell services rather than blogs that need clicks to generate revenue via ad placement. Even if some new sites popped up from nowhere, on their next update they will kill them again, manually.

That's why I think that creating content for ad revenue sucks these days. You will be better selling a service.

I think a lot of the time multiple reviews from people who have bought and used the product is what Google likes.
 
I don’t think so since Google values user intent and quality content; while blogs can still succeed, integrating products or services can enhance their relevance and potentially improve rankings and traffic.
 
Yes, Google no longer favors blogging websites. I was working on 4 to 5 blogging websites and was getting good traffic. As soon as Google's update came, it ruined everything, and now there is no traffic on any of those websites. I didn't even use AI content; all the content was human-based.

What you can conclude from that?

If you have products and services you have more motivation to take care of your websites. There's nothing wrong with being an entrepreneur instead of a blogger. Being a commercial blogger is pointless. It's not something you need expertise for. It's just like being a YouTuber that has a single channel. Man, if I was a blackhatworld user and I was just a blogger, I would honestly consider a career switch cause the internet doesn't reward people on single properties. Also, those blogs are written by people who barely can speak English and it's like scrolling some porn site - you just don't want it and you are there cause of an accident more than your genuine wanting. The blog community has to use personal branding and give people that soul. If you browse old good engineering blogs, they got that soul but for ad revenue it's terrible. It's better to build a small community and find your circle via blogging.

It's not enough to just have a blog and call it a business. Any company has a network of blogs / sites and I don't know what's with this mindset to tie all your business to some adsense site. It's lack of thought and insight into how things work. Basically ignorance?

No. It was your approach that ruined everything. You made 5 websites. It's like having 50 videos on YouTube. Are you seriously thinking you're a victim of some Google big brother? No, you are victim of your own mentality where you assumed that 5 sites is enough to survive and thrive. No, you can have 5 million websites. You just need to open your mind to the possibility of... Different things than your own bubble. You can make the bubble you're living bigger and more open minded than "being an adsense parasite".

For the most part that's just being a parasite. The fact content is written by human isn't verified by Google. And they don't care if you got that content for 100m or 0 dollars. They just don't like people who don't bring much value and are like sucking from their search engine and also their ad system. People are asking for trouble by this "unpersonalized marketing" style.
 
Affiliate blogging is dead. If not now, when SGE rolls out even further.

Travel/personalized blogging is also dead. They are on short format/youtube now.

Pseudo-blogging for bigger companies is the only thing that works.

Yeah, and writing about C extensively helping people for free then upselling is so dead. I can even rank a github repository. You just need a business know how. This isn't about "black and white thinking". It's about "out of the box thinking". Have some real expertise, case studies and they rank you like mad if you can prove you're indeed a real entity worth attention but that requires skills to build reputation.

Maybe Google is trying to tell you that you can just do their YouTube stuff... Maybe... You know they can kind of control paths on the internet. For some reason YouTubers become easily millionaires and bloggers? $5 a day? Mental health problems? No, thanks, I'd rather get skills and make good videos - something great for home production/ home studio. You can build a nice career with YouTube. With blogging all you can do is build some text. Jezz.

How do you know what works or not when you don't even have a website? I have 1 with more than 150 articles manually written and it was destroyed by the update. As well as other websites of people I've been working with. They all got screwed by Google. So, throwing facts when you don't know the matter is very foolish of you. Everything started last year and they continued to decimate the blogging sites with this year's update.

You calling someone else foolish is you assuming that you know what that person thinks and what that person does. And this is always business, it's never personal.

A person that wants to be powerful doesn't think about traffic and falsehood of ethics, but content with substance and how to pump out the most out of it, then how to position that in the market. I have no clue about what happened to 8 billion people last night and I don't need to know. I'm also not involved in any political discussion and all I'm doing here is business and I'm not here for some personal trips or victimizing myself about how 50 million websites that I had went to oblivion in searches. There's plenty of places that still accept those and they can bring more traffic than there is people in the world.

The best they can do is just adjust positions of websites in their search engine results using algorithms powered by large clusters of datacenters and computers.

I don't think that this is true. Before making a blog you need to be very niche specific and most blogs are not very specific thus they're not ranked well.
 
Not, sure but my website get hit many time only for my content is AI based.

Yeah google started to switch from bloggers as from March 2024 update. It switched to forums, communities and Websites that offer products. AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini performs so much better than most bloggers.
