Does Google Really Care about Content?

Still good content draws people to your site and makes them click the urls, content is the king.

Not only does google care about quality content on your site, it cares about quality content on the sites that link to your site. That's why you see NO results spinning articles and publishing them to all the same places over and over again. Google knows they are the same article and discounts the links. Oh and the same goes for bookmarking. This 30% uniqueness crap that's floated around by "gurus", absolute shite.

Can you explain me how exactly google knows if my content is quality or crap ?? Real people are reading all websites and value them ?? As for google bot you can try google translate and see for yourself if it understands what your content is. You can put random words with right keyword density and you will rank. And even today I saw one blog whose content was absolute crap. Not even spinned content but random words put in sentences and this blog ranks #7 for a word that has 100k+ searches per month.
 
So there are two points being made here - one is that google doesn't give a rats ass about dup content or quality content but the human visitor/reader does. It was mentioned a few posts above about bounce rate - I would think quality content will keep your visitors on your site longer and is good for articles and traffic generation but is not as important once the visitor is at your site. An niche adsense site likely doesn't as good of quality content as a review site or affilate site.

ok so if google doesn't care about dupe content, then what's stopping me from just creating 10 completely identical sites under different domain names and completely pwning the 1st page for a certain keyword?

...or does that actually work? :p
