Does google read iframes?

    I have a website which has a "recommended products" section at the end of every page. The recommended products section if simply an iframe to another page on my site. Every page has about 300 words of text + another 300 from the iframe content.

    Now, I know that rankings can drop when there are significant changes done to your pages (such as removing content). If I change/remove the iframe content will google see that?

    I believe "No" too.
    I remember reading a couple of SEO books that also said "No".

    When I first learn about HTML, I was also told that search engines don't index or check the iframes too. So it would be a No.
