Does google punish different sites owned by same person?

Let's say, I got a website (moneysite) that has very little organic traffic, and is mostly dependant on buying ads on adwords.

If I tried ranking another website using blackhat seo with a bunch of spamlinks+high pr/pa/da links, and sent the traffic by links to my moneysite. Would my moneysite get penalized if someone manually reviewed it?
And could they block me from using adwords?

Main reason i'm asking is, because I can't seem to get much traffic by ads this year, and I think this year is gonna be a tough one for the niche i'm in.
And, I don't have a clue about how google punishes webmasters.

Strictly regarding your question: As long as the IPs of the website are different, whois guard protection is active, you don't use Google analytics from the same account and you don't link them you are safe.

If the situation you described needs all these safety measures, it's another discussion

Depends on how bad you upset them... Most likely, yes, people tend to avoid to "link" their websites, especially if there's somethinb blackhat involved.

Well reason im concerned is, because if I were to get banned from google adwords i'd be bankrupt, it's not a really big niche it's like 1-2k searches a month, but it's where most of my income comes from.

I will be using whois privacy protection, and the site will be hosted somewhere else.

Yeah just try and think on the ways google could identify you.

You wouldnt need to worry about backlinks since you are going the adwords way.. Google will love you for that

Yes, they're tracking all SEO moves on the WWW. The way they've been busting link networks lately with laser precision suggests(and I cannot prove this) that they even use Gmail to track down black hats.

There are other members here who have reported this : if you piss them off bad enough, all the sites you ever verify on webmaster stools and google accounts will be much more difficult to promote.
