Hi When google comes to giving prefernece to sites in the serps etc do they prefer sites written in html or .php? Thanks
I don't think it matters... a lot of "large sites" are run via php... Also all google sees is the output of the php files which is pretty much html
extension of the files is not important for G' spiders if they can read it thing is ... html like coding language it's fair more easy to be learned by most of the peoples , since is quite easy and limited on choises , php it's just more ... advanced that's all
I think there is no difference.... But at all my blogs, I use this setting as permalinks: %postname%.html This will give my post a html extension
Google doesn't prefer either. Just as long as your site works. PHP and HTML extensions are not a factor to what Google considers as a quality site.
Well, to be a little more specific, it doesn't matter what extension you have as long as you don't have a gazillion query string parameters for it to parse e.g ?&foo=bah&foo2=bar2&foo3=bar3&foo4=bar4... etc ... etc Supposedly after the first 3 or 4 it gets bored and goes somewhere else Cheers, Niggles
some people seem to think that google prefers html sites but from my expirence it doesn't matter what so ever. If your planning on making a site that is going to be content rich and updated more than once a month, you're much better off going with a php based site
Well, very recently the Big G has come out with wide open arms for HTML5 so, it would seem as though they are, at least, headed in the html direction.
The only programming language that I know Google cant read is flash and thats because it is a movie in there and G is working on fixing this I guess wont be soon. any other language is good for G even pdf u know Dave
