I have an android app for my website and I have a link to my website in the description of the app. Does this pass link juice to my page? Let's say the app gets really popular and has a lot of 5 star review. Can that alone increase SERP rank?
Without having taken a closer look, I don't think play store use ******** links, but sure you can get traffic from people clicking trough. FB ads won't benefit your SEO.
Facebook is a good source for getting traffic. If you can promote your app on relevant Facebook pages and groups, it may help you to get enough traffic.
Recently, Google has started shutting off the link juice from links leading off it's site. For instance the Google+ profile links and Youtube links are now no follow. Even if the links on the Google play store are do follow now, they won't be forever. So just test with a browser plug in and see for yourself.
