Does google penalize copyright free content?

Hello BHW,

I'm currently creating a pay-per-article website and the website is almost ready to get deployed. I just need a couple test articles. I want to take some copyright free articles from the website copyrightfreearticledotcom but i'm not sure if google will penalize it or not?

does anyone know? thanks in advance!

alright thanks, but will the copied article hurt my rankings when I got other original content?

You will get banned if you do copy and paste whether they are copywrite articles or not.

You talking about two different things here.

First thing is DMCA, If you take any copyright content then owner might open case against you in DMCA, result those page will be removed from search engine.Whereas in your case you are using non copyright content so you are fine.

Second things is Duplicate content.If you putting content on your website which can found on other websites it consider to be duplicate content and google panda hate duplicate content and result in de-index your website.(Called Algorithm penalty)

Solution
If you really want to add duplicate content on your website then ask google not to index those page by using meta tag.
