Does google look at comment IP's?

    I know Google likes activity - when it comes to blog comments does Google look at the IP's which the comments are coming from to determine the activity is true or fake? i.e. i didn't just post 20 comments on my own website through the one IP.

    If this effects SEO I would be interested to know. Thanks.

    I don't see how google would have any way of tracking the comment ips.. Unless of course you're talking about a blogspot blog in which case I suppose they could.

    Just don't go overboard. One never knows what Google is thinking.
