Does Google index facebook comment boxs?

I have Googled this subject and it seems some say yes and others say no. The facebook comment docs say that you can get an seo boost by caching the comments and displaying it to search engines but this could just be outdated information and if you do this wont it affect the page preview. Does anyone here at BHW have an insite on this?

I havent seen any facebook links appear in my webmaster tools and THey are not follow. In my experience they are worthless.

Correct me if I am wrong but if the links are nofollow they will not be indexed by Google so they would not show up in your stats. But that does not answer if Google does index the comment box.

i think the value grade is: ********>nofollow

google crawl fb comment now, so comment is useful rather than no comment.

i had read some while back that yes it has started indexing that.

Or maybe facebook implemented a new code which gets indexed, something like that.

Comments give you free content so they are worth it.

yes, Google annouced this change about 3 months ago. Google can now index comments inside the facebook comment box.

Always allow comments... they are free relevant content for your site

i don't know about comment box yet but i know google index pictures of profiles on facebook like this one

Google index everything apart stuf in Iframe. If FB comments are not in that - google count it.

Google indexes the FB comments. Still, haven't seen much value in links in FB comments, though. Anyways, allowing comments on your FB page is a good thing - like others already said: free content.

Thank you thats exactly what I wanted to know. If it indexes the content I guess I did not explain it correctly in the first post.
