Does google take into account how much time a visitor spends on the page from SERPs? My pages redirect to another page on the same domain, and I wonder if google won't like the fact that visitors go to another page on the same domain after 1 second on the initial page from SERPs.

Many people are speculating that Google takes bounce rate into account, they determine it when user clicks back button. Images and videos can usually decrease the bounce rate.

Google wants, no strives to deliver relevancy. If it detects that any visitor is not staying on a page delivered in its serp then it could assume that that page is not suited to that search term. It may then act accordingly.

My experience is that Google definitely takes bounce rate into account.. more than 80% over a few days, killed a lot of my sites..
