Does Google consider posting NAP in the comment section as a valid local citation for businesses?

NAP is critical for businesses wishing to rank well in the local organic search results, because search engines like Google take the data into account when determining which companies to show for geo-targeted searches.

Posting NAP in comments won't cut it for strong local citations. Google's smarter than that. It's looking for consistent NAP info across reputable, authoritative directories and your Google My Business listing. Comments are transient, often nofollow, and not the best signal for local SEO. Plus, spamming comments can hurt more than help.
