I'm using private proxies when I do some searching and other work online and lately I've been changing my user agent with about:config on firefox to confuse servers a little bit more but I'm wondering if I'm surfing "anonymously" does google keep track of my activity with the google tool bar...

Does enabling the PR tool checker matter?

I know chrome tracks everything I do. Because everywhere I go I see ads related to my websites (I guess because I visit them the most).
