Does Gmail tell us if something is a good link?

So I just got an AHREFS backlink email report in gmail and clicked on one of the links and got the message:

This link leads to an untrusted site. Are you sure you want to proceed to xxxxxxxxxxx

Do you think this is a way to say Google doesn't like this link, or is that a bit too far-fetched? I know this is Gmail and different to crawlers, algorithms etc but maybe a correlation?

There could be many reasons behind this, such as not using valid SSL certificate, site/link reported as spam, contains malware etc..

These type of links may or may not be indexed in Google, so when the link is not indexed that means no link juice from it.

Often it's as @JasonS says, the site has not updated the SSL.

It did have an ssl but maybe its on a Google list of bad sites. Who knows
