Hi,

I'm having some trouble customizing my website, the majority of people recommend GeneratePress.
Yet, It looks too damn simple. I don't know if I'm making something wrong, but it looks like a website from 2010.

  • For an Amazon affiliate site would you recommend this theme?
  • Is there any way to make it look better?
  • Would you stick to a website that looks so simple?
Thanks guys.

You need to make few changes, just search some videos on youtube and blogs. It's a really good theme.

Import one of their templates from the Site Library if you don't have the knowledge to build the site from the ground up.

GeneratePress theme is simple and its look is not so impressive.

Yup its awesome! Added with there Premium plugin, definitely one of my go-to themes :)

It's a good theme, but not the best in my opinion.

You can also consider Hello Elementor (if you use Elementor) or Astra

Generatepress by default, looks simple AF.
But with Generatepress premium plugin, you can access for example, their premium site library, with very cool compositions.
If you don't know CSS and HTML enough to make profit from these type of component Themes like Generatepress or Genesis, I recommend you to go straight with something like Hello + Elementor or Oxygen Builder.
Also you can use some helpers like CSS hero with the Generate default theme (at least for menu/sidebars/footers, and all the theming within)

I recently found out about Blocksy. It's a wonderful theme that is beautiful.

GP theme is a good choice especially if you can get it for free. No need for unique design because the most important part is usability of the website. Plenty of big affiliate sites use simple yet effective themes.
