does free edu backlinks works?

i found lists with gov edu sites for backlinking. links from comments and profiles. does these free links works today for seo? if yes, should i link to moneysite or tier1?

Yeah, they work insofar as they hold 'authoirty' and send juice to your site. If they're not spammed to death, I see no reason not to point them at your money-site. You can also use them as Tier 1 and power them up with spam and such.

You can use them to diversify your backlink profile. They don't have much ranking power these days.

If its easy to put a link there, probably its being a spamming nest. I don't recommend you point that shit to your moneysite

You can use them from anchor and platform diversity.

They would work if your target keyword was a 10 searches per month keyword. In other words, don't attempt to use them to rank anything except extremely low competition keywords or you will be wasting your time.

You can use gov sites for backlinking. But not edu site they don't have much ranking...

They are nothing but a waste of time.

It's not about the domain extension but the quality of the domain.

I would rather have one quality .com then have a hundred spammy .org, .gov or edu.

they can work great, but dont' make them 60% of your entire bl profile, if you do lookout...

Its not working proper for long term....

They are useless for actual rankings.
