Does Forum links still work in 2023?

They hardly make a significant impact nowadays, but active forum links have the potential to generate quality traffic.
But, in terms of SEO, I haven't observed any notable success with forum links.

In general, forum links have lost their importance as a key SEO technique. Google's algorithm has evolved to prioritize backlinks that are high-quality, relevant, and natural. While some forums can provide essential community involvement and conversations, forum links are sometimes thought to be of poorer quality and may not assist much to SEO efforts.
Focus on developing a broad and authoritative backlink profile in 2023 by using strategies such as guest posting, content marketing, and gaining links from reputable websites in your field. Google places a greater premium on the relevance, authority, and naturalness of links, therefore aligning your link-building approach with these criteria is critical. You can use the forum links which may helpful to attract people to your website and giving beneficial views it receives. This can lead to more traffic and conversions only to you. Furthermore, diversify your backlink profile by acquiring links from multiple forums.

quality manually made forum links are one of the most preferred ones to start with,
they're really good to build some initial clean link profile, trust, topical authority and brand awareness with brand & naked anchors,

i'm referring to manually selected/scrapped niche relevant & authority forum links, the ones sold as crowd links,
not the crap made by senuke, gsa and such type of tools...

if you have multiple websites/niches to focus on, you can hire & train a VA to do the work,
that will surely reduce the costs

Yes they still work, despite what others are saying. They might not be the best but they still work

I have created lots of links and with do-follow links sites like Microsoft, adobe and Its tricky to get links from active forums and which really impact good on results but we have to build these links in smart way!

Not high impact anymore. Focus on high authority domain backlinks and guest posting, content.

Yes they do. They are particularly more useful for "how to" guides as these articles are informative and don't attract a lot of competition. Getting a few backlinks from forums will definitely increase the ranking of these articles.

If you're referring to signature links (across a mass number of posts on the same domain), they're not really as valued by Google as they were in the early 2000s.

Most forums are ranking lower than they used to (with some notable exceptions)

Forum links' SEO value have been deprecated for a long time now

Why not look for FORUM REPLACEMENT PLATFORMS like Reddit?

Does anyone know if building forum do-follow or no-follow links still work?
Both do-follow and no-follow links from forums can still have some impact on your website, but their effectiveness for SEO purposes may differ. but ******** links increase quality of seo and website.

Yes they work to drive traffic & also add little value in teams of diversity to websites backlink profile.

In terms of link juice their value has depleted.

Still good source of traffic can even work as a parasite property.
