Does forum backlinks follow website backlink rule?

So there's an unwritten rule when building links you need to do slowly. I have 5 maximum from guest posts monthly but I wanna know if this rule applies to forum backlinks as well or I can just build like 20 links in a day? Same question for Rachmaninoff's links as well.

If your traffic/social signals can justify the link velocity then you can have 100s of backlinks within a few days, otherwise all websites that go viral would get penalized, right?

The next question you'll ask is how much signals/traffic per how many backlinks?
There's no magic number you need to apply common sense here.

That would be too much If you are working on a money site. I would say half of it and forum links are good if they are shared just like any other link in the thread with proper reference.

If they're pointing to your money site, spread your forum links out. If I was a machine trying to "catch" sneaky tactics, link velocity on certain types of links is something I could spot.

The number of backlinks that you can create depends on your site age, amount of content you are publishing and the speed at which you are currently building backlinks.

If you gradually increase the number of backlinks built over months, then there is no harm. But if you try to do it quickly, they might not be as effective.

That's 600 links a month/7k+ year. Go slower. If anything, i'd say good contextual guest post links are safer than cheap forum/profile links.

There is no set rule for link velocity, but the more links you have as a base, the faster you can build new ones
