I am thinking of setting up a site where the user has to fill out an offer or something of your choice in order to acess the download page. However, I was wondering if people actually fill these out? Or if they have good enough conversions? Has anyone tried this method or doing it now?

    Thanks

depends what you are offering to download.
If its some shitty little game or video most will just hit the back button.
So you have to make the download sound really enticing if you want them to fill it out.
Haven't tried it personally but could see it working.

If you own copy right to the downloads ..then its worth getting a good sales page and setting a price for your product ..and then somewhere on the page include a button that says 'Get it for free now' and link it to your Trailpay account.

    hxxp://trailpay.com

    It works.

Incase you do not own the copyright then make sure you stay under the radar or better quit. I have never worked it out this way though.

    best,
