Does following have any effect on getting traffic now or not?

From my tests the last year the answer is no but people are praising this method

Do you mean to say you have to follow people to get traffic from Pinterest then I don’t think so

I didn't say have to, I am asking if it gives traffic boost.

You're absolutely correct.

I haven't done Pinterest in years, but from what I remember of my previous experience (probably 7 years ago) that post sounds accurate. He mentions it can take 3 - 12 months for significant consistent traffic to come in - that was exactly my experience.

Keep in mind, you'll need to invest in proxies and stay consistent for months, even when you're not making any income during that time. You will lose accounts, need to get new proxies, buy new links occasionally, deal will algorithm changes, etc., so it's not as easy as it seems, but definitely doable. There's quite a few threads over the years with pretty much the same growth strategy, but other ways to monetize, so if you're interested, dig those up and give it a shot.
